Product Positioning
Understanding what Indie Film Market does
No—we're complementary. FilmFreeway handles submissions to film festivals. We handle what happens after. Indie Film Market gives you a centralized hub to organize your film, create a professional page for industry contacts, and generate press kits you can include in your submissions. When you send programmers and buyers to your film page, we track their engagement—page visits, trailer views, photo downloads, and direct inquiries. FilmFreeway manages the submission. We manage the relationship.
No. Distributors, buyers, and press access your films through personalized screening links or your public film page. They never need to create an account, which removes friction and increases engagement.
Only people you grant access to. Anyone visiting your film page must request an access code, which you control. When someone views your page, watches your trailer, or accesses your screener, you're notified immediately with full visibility into their engagement.
No. You can add projects at any stage—in development, post-production, or completed. Many filmmakers use the platform to organize materials and track early interest before their film is finished.
A clean, professional page designed for industry viewers. Depending on what you've enabled, they can see your poster, trailer, synopsis, director's statement, production stills, cast & crew credits, and festival selections. If you've granted screener access, they can watch your film directly. Everything is presented without clutter or distractions—just your work, presented well.
The Screening Portal is a personalized hub for distributors, buyers, and press. When you share films with someone, all of them appear in their portal—no separate logins or scattered links. They enter their email, receive an access link, and can browse everything you've shared with them in one place. It makes reviewing multiple projects effortless.

Workflow & Usage
How the platform works day-to-day
When someone views your film page, watches your screener, or submits an interest form, a lead is automatically created in your dashboard with their contact info, company, interest type, and engagement history.
Engagement includes screener views, watch progress percentage, return visits, film page views, and any direct messages or interest submissions. All engagement is timestamped and tied to individual leads.
Currently, projects are tied to individual accounts. Team/collaborative access is on our roadmap.
